I don't think people always realize just how intelligent one has to be to consistently make great art. The best musicians and artists in the hip hop right now know exactly what they are doing and that is why they are able to make money and remain relevant. Pharrell is constantly knowledgeable on the state of the music industry and is diligent in developing his brand. I think that is to key to him being so successful.
