The Coolest...

I watched this entire 2 part series on NBC. If you haven't seen the whole thing, I advise you to check it out. For the first time, I legit care about what's going on in the White House. Here's a clip of big homie ditching the White House for some Five Guys (I miss Five Guys). LoL at NBC using Jigga's "Can I Get A..." as the intro music.

::Inspiration::

p.s. The title of this post is a reference to a Lupe track of the same name. However I couldn't bring myself to finish the line due to the use of a certain racial epithet in which I can't/refuse to bring myself to use in reference to the President. I can't even really articulate why.... it's just wrong. In fact, watching anything Obama related makes me want to chill my use of the word altogether. Not quite there yet tho.

Lil Dez 2.0 (Updated)

LeBron get's no love from Nike Lil' Dez after screwing up potentially the greatest money making scheme finals matchup ever. And it was all good just a week ago.

Update: This is the updated version of the one I posted earlier, where Dez's nagging is directed squarely at the King. It is reported that Puppet LeBron slit his wrists and killed himself shortly after this...R.I.P.

I did it myyyyy way.

I put up a new 12 on the playlist. I like it a lot. For those of you who don't check the playlist out regularly, I encourage you to do so. The songs are a lil' darker this time around, but that's kinda where I'm at right now so it goes. If you wanna know how I'm feeling at the moment, chances are the songs on the playlist at any given time embody that. More importantly though, it's good music.

I try not to write TOO much on here or be too personal b/c, for me, the stuff I post is a better (and more entertaining) way for you to see me than excessive typing. Plus (for the most part), this isn't a therapy sess ...it's a blog. Just know that I've created/posted everything on this website and there was thought put behind each part. My goal is to be the most expressive with the least amount of words; an efficient assassin. I don't wanna post stuff on here if I don't think it has any room for some form of enlightenment or if it doesn't embody something I stand for.

My bad for that serious ass post

FINAL(S)LY!

I have painfully endured a full 4 days without NBA basketball in anticipation of this moment. The finals are upon us! (exhale). I absolutely HATE the long break in hoops before the finals because it gives the media ample time to scrape the bottom of the barrel for all the dumbass headlines they can find and over-exaggerate them, forcing us to sit and watch them dwell on topics like LeBron's fear of speaking in front of large crowds that caused him to skip out on the post game press conference, LeBron's weak bladder that forced him to run off the court immediately following game 6, or even Lamar Odom's infatuation with Nutter Butters. (Okay the first two I exaggerated a bit, I'm dead serious about the Lamar Odom thing tho). Well I'mma help them out with one more...

Our homeboy Mikael Pietrus (aka Jay Electronica's stunt double) has decided to discontinue wearing his Nike Hyperdunks (a shoe made specifically for & marketed by Kobe Bryant) for the finals because they are playing against the Lakers...smh. I bet he's one of those people who bought 12 play but refused to listen to it after the child pornography trial too....shame.

In other pre-finals exciting news...LeBron went to the dentist today. LET THE GAMES START ALREADY!!!

Do I Know You?: Mikael Electronica

Since I do this all the time with my friends anyway, I figure I should share this with everybody. This is called "Do I know you?" and it's where I compare people that look eerily similar for the sake of comedy. It could be celebrities or just random people I know. Hit me up in the comments if y'all have any ideas for look-alikes. Let there be light...

This first one comes courtesy of my homie Dame. Orlando Magic guard Mikael Pietrus is currently at home figuring out how he's going to guard Kobe in the finals and still retain his manhood at the end of it all, but is it just me or is he doubling as rapper/producer Jay Electronica (Get Familiar). They must think we're stupid.

p.s. A Skillion dollars if you can tell me the title of Jay Elect's upcoming album....aha!

Lemme put you on....Jade

I heard about this girl a lil' while back but had kinda been putting off downloading her EP. Don't be as stupid as I was. This girl is CRAZY talented and I haven't been able to stop listening to her EP, "It's My Heart, Cookie". This get's the official stamp. Her sound is kinda hard to box, so I'm sure people will label it 'pop'. But w/e. Chuck Inglish of the Cool Kids produced one of the tracks on here called "Beautiful Problems". Download Jade's "It's My Heart, Cookie EP" HERE.... ASAP. You can thank me later. Hit the jump for more pics and video on this chick.

Let there be light. . .

p.s. This also gives me a chance to shoutout my friend Jade out in NYC right now. W'dup homes!

FREE AT LAST!

The homie GLC FINALLY liberated this video. This was my favorite song off of College Dropout and I KNEW Kanye did a video to it, but for some reason just never released it...until now. I'm feeling this song and video extra hard right now. This that hustle hard theme music. Shoutout to everybody who's annoyed with their job right now. Here's what GLC had to say about the vid.

"First off, I’d just like to thank everyone for believing! There’s a lot of people saying where we could of been if this was released in 04. I no longer wanna deprive the people of their rights! You have the right to embrace my concept as well as those of Kanye, Consequence & Tony Williams as we gave you are all! This is a story of triumph over the ills of society & the workforce interfering with your pimpin’ & in this time of a recession this record may be more relevant now than it was in 2004! Thank for letting me grow with you! Love, Life & Loyalty coming soon! Hello World! Oh yeah my player is fixed too sorry about the prior non pimpish auto-play!"

Let there be light...

p.s. It's refreshing to here a rapper not named Cudi singing w/o autotune again.

p.p.s. kanYe says he directed this video but didn't like it. But now he does.

Here's BIRDY NAM NAM's video for The Parachute Ending done by artist Will Sweeney. I'm not really up on much of these guys' stuff, but this video is cold and I'm really feeling the track. It's produced by Justice...Check it out.

I love lamp.

Note: There is no sound on this video so you can keep the Lo Lights playlist going.

This dude is extremely talented. Leo Villareal is a light artist born in Albuquerque, New Mexico (I didn't know people lived in New Mexico). He lives and works in New York City. His work is all computer code written by himself that generates light-patterns via LED's onto sculptures, structures and all he can get the lights onto to create beautiful light shows. That's crazy!

Let There Be Light. . . (aha, see what I did there? It's a double entendre. Cuz like, shed light and it's a light sh.....no? oooo k. *cue awkward penguin*)

I love photography, Here is some work by Photographer Jean-Baptiste Mondino. I appreciate any type of art that elicits a strong response whether it is positive or negative. Stuff that you have to look at for longer the half a second. Check out more Pics and Info on The Great Mondino (I just came up w/ that) after the jump.

For the last twenty years, Jean-Baptiste Mondino’s wildly progressive photographs and videos have radically changed the strategies of the rock, pop and fashion industry, making him one of the most influential, admired and sought-after photographers of our time. Yet before he found himself behind the lens, Mondino’s first passion was music, which he indulged while working as a DJ and composer. Despite his eventual change in path, music continues to be his favorite source for inspiration.

Quote of the Day: Steve Jobs

"Your time is limited, so don't waste it living someone else's life. Don't be trapped by dogma - which is living with the results of other people's thinking. Don't let the noise of other's opinions drown out your own inner voice. And most important, have the courage to follow your heart and intuition. They somehow already know what you truly want to become. Everything else is secondary."

Faaaam I get it POPPIN.

Here's Cons' new video for "Mr. Popularity". Inspired by iTunes' Cover flow template. Consequence is smart with how he's really taken advantage of the internet to get his buzz up with ConsTV. Check out his last album "Don't Quit Your Day Job" (One of the most underrated albums EVER) if you haven't already.
